Huge emergency service response after car smashes into wall in Bury - five people were taken to hospital

Bury. Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Cockey Moor Road just before 10.45pm last night (Friday).A Vauxhall Corsa collided with a wall, police said.Five people - who were all travelling in the car at the time - were taken to hospital from the scene.

The M.E.N understands that some of the casualties were seriously injured, though none of them are believed to be in a life-threatening condition.

Police enquiries are ongoing.Pictures taken at the scene last night show a huge emergency service presence on Cockey Moor Road.A number of police vehicles, ambulance vehicles and a fire engine were stationed at the scene.The black Vauxhall Corsa was completely smashed up and its roof had been cut off.Debris from the incident.
