Glasgow has sparked concern just days before the city is to move down to lockdown Level 2. Some postcodes are experiencing a "cluster" of infections thought to be linked to the Indian variant, causing case rates to be above the benchmark for easing restrictions.Nicola Sturgeon admitted there was a level of concern about the number of new cases and said the Scottish Government is currently keeping an eye on the situation.

Glasgow's current cases have pushed the city's virus rate to 58 per 100,000 - compared to 25.5 for the whole of Scotland.
