How parents in in Manchester are divided over schools opening and mask wearing in the classroom

Back to School Survey, which was shared by the M.E.N and our Manchester Family Facebook page. While 54% (2,530) of parents said 'yes' they are happy to send their children back, 46% (2,183) answered 'no'.Some told us heightened health concerns - with themselves or another family member vulnerable to coronavirus - was the reason for their 'no'.The division was just as stark when we asked 'do you think children should be wearing masks for school'?Despite the government saying masks don't need to be worn in schools, the majority, 57%, said 'yes', but still a large number, 43%, said 'no'.Families also differed in how safe they think children will be when they are placed in their class or year group bubbles.A total of 26% answered '1', least.
