Hibs and St Johnstone in Scottish Cup fan blow as Holyrood knocks back increased attendance plea

Scottish Cup final, with a paltry 600 allowed in for the showpiece game. Almost all of the country will move into level two restrictions from Monday, meaning up to 500 fans can attend sporting events.

That already meant both Hibs and St Johnstone would have supporters in the stands after the SFA struck a special deal with UEFA to allow them in.

There was hope that even more could cheer on their teams, with at least 12,500 to be allowed in for the Euros in just a matter of weeks.But to allow an attendance above 500 in level two there must be permission from first the local authorities and then Holyrood.
