Newton was sleeping on the sofa for the for the first two nights as her and her partner decorated the bedrooms but it was at that point she began to hear scratching and scurrying sounds through the walls.
The rats have left the 19-year-old terrified of bringing up her baby in her own home and has sometimes resulted in her sleeping at her mother’s house.
