Hamilton is leading the way when it comes to Fairtrade.New figures revealed by South Lanarkshire Council show the town has the most amount of outlets in the area that are serving goods linked with the ethical trading organisation.Hamilton has 13 retail outlets and 13 catering establishments serving Fairtrade goods, compared with the likes of Larkhall who have four and one respectively.One hundred cafes, shops and catering outlets are now selling or serving goods in 18 towns and villages across South Lanarkshire.This commitment from businesses, backing from the active Fairtrade towns and their communities, and the council’s own support of ethical trading, has helped South Lanarkshire renew its Fairtrade Zone status for the first time since
