Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.

The International Barley Hub, set to cost £35m and the Advanced Plant Growth Centre drawing on an investment of £25m, were green-lit on Friday, March 19 by the Tay Cities Deal joint committee.These two significant projects benefit from the £62m committed by the UK and Scottish governments through the Tay Cities Deal.
It constitutes the largest-ever investment in Scottish agricultural science. The International Barley Hub to be built at the institute’s Invergowrie site seeks to secure the long-term future of the barley sector by developing new varieties and growing systems that can cope with future climate change, plus new uses for the crop.
