GEORGE Clooney was hospitalized with pancreatitis after he lost nearly 30 pounds “too fast” for his role in his latest film, The Midnight Sky.

The actor - who also directed the new Netflix movie - admitted he “wasn’t taking care” of himself as he dropped the weight which led to the 59-year-old being rushed to the ER.

While promoting the sci-fi drama, George confirmed he was hospitalized with pancreatitis just four days before he was due on set.

The two-time Oscar winner told The Mirror: “I think I was trying too hard to lose the weight quickly and probably wasn’t taking care of myself.” He added: “It took a few weeks to get better and as a director, it’s not so easy because you need energy.  “We were out on this glacier in Finland,.
