Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has stressed the importance of the club getting their next managerial appointment correct, insisting they must source somebody that can offer "belief" to the players.
United, who have failed to win any of their last three outings in league and cup, are hoping to appoint their next permanent manager within the coming months ahead of the start of next season.
Experienced German coach Ralf Rangnick, who was appointed interim boss back in November until the end of the campaign, has struggled to have the desired impact, piling more pressure on the Reds' hierarchy to ensure their next appointment is the right one.
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag of Ajax remain the frontrunners for the role, but United are yet to have settled on who will take over from Rangnick.
