From snakes to Shetland ponies- here are the 10 most unusual pets looking for new homes across Scotland

We all know that a dog is for life and not just for Christmas. But animal rehoming charity the Scottish SPCA is now urging pet lovers to consider more unusual animals and have revealed ten of the most curious creatures in their care looking for new homes.

While puppies and kittens often attract all the attention from those looking for a new cuddly friend, the charity is also seeking homes for the likes of cockerels, snakes , Shetland ponies and ferrets are also up for adoption.
