Four youths charged in connection with Dundee arson attack and assault on McDonald’s staff

Police have cracked down on antisocial behaviour in Dundee city centre. Officers have arrested and charged four teens in connection with two separate incidents.

A 15-year-old boy was charged on Sunday evening with assaulting members of staff at McDonald’s in Reform Street. The same evening officers also dealt with complaints of youths causing problems in Castle Street and Murraygate.Meanwhile three male youths aged 13, 15 and 16 have now been identified and charged in connection with a fireraising at the rear of premises in Murraygate which took place on Sunday 23rd January.Lines of enquiry are continuing in relation to others involved in this incident.Sergeant Chris Grieve from the Dundee City Centre Community Team said:“While these two incidents are not directly related, they are indicative of the types of issues we are dealing with in the city centre on practically a nightly basis.DundeeLive brings you the latest headlines from Dundee and beyond.But did you know you all the ways you can stay informed with us?You can get our top stories sent straight to your inbox with our daily news updates.
