IF you thought Time Lords and their trusted assistants stuck together, you’d be very much mistaken. Actress Anneke Wills, who played one of the BBC show’s most popular companions to the Doctor in the Sixties, has admitted she turned off after Jodie Whittaker landed the leading role.
Anneke, who was assistant to the first ever Doctor William Hartnell and then his successor Patrick Troughton, said she would rather than sleep than watch the show.
But luckily, Jodie shouldn’t take it too personally. Anneke explained: “I have to admit that I’ve fallen off since Jodie has come in. “It’s nothing to do with her — I think she’s wonderful and great — but this is all part of the new Who. “It’s too fast, too furious, a bit too frightening.
