Fate of the boarded-up Deansgate Pub revealed

Many had been fearing the worst for iconic Manchester pub The Deansgate when it failed to reopen after lockdown restrictions eased earlier this year.

The historic pub, occupying a prominent position at the end of Deansgate next to the looming Hilton Hotel and Deansgate Locks, has been boarded up and seemingly untended for some months now.

Rumours had been rife that the pub could be a target for redevelopment in such a prime site in the city centre.
