Fatal Accident Inquiry to be held for tragic Scots dad who died after being hit by bin lorry

Scots council worker who passed away after being hit by a bin lorry is set to be examined at a Fatal Accident Inquiry. Robert ‘Rab’ McMillan was tragically struck by the vehicle on Mount Cameron Drive in East Kilbride on January 17 last year.

Emergency services raced to the scene at around 10.15am but the 55-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His heartbroken wife Lesley and daughter Lauren both paid tribute to their loved one shortly after his death, Glasgow Live reports.

Lesley said: “Our whole family is devastated at losing Rab. He was a big personality – outgoing and always smiling and laughing.“Everyone liked Rab and he always had a word for everybody.“Rab enjoyed all sports, especially football, and he tried to get along.
