BBC radio presenter Lisa Shaw passed away in hospital after suffering blood clots following her dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, say her heartbroken family.
The 44-year-old presenter developed "severe" headaches one week on from receiving the jab and fell seriously ill a few days later, according to a statement from relatives.
Tragically, Lisa died at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, on Friday afternoon following treatment in intensive care for blood clots and bleeding, according to The Mirror.Since Lisa's death was announced on air on Sunday, many colleagues and listeners have dedicated tributes to the award-winning journalist.
