A man has died in a suspected explosion in the Lancashire village of Clayton-le-Woods on Friday. Emergency services rushed to the scene at Kirkby Avenue after reports a house had collapsed.

Police closed a number of roads in the area with people not able to return to their homes. Later in the afternoon, it was confirmed a man in his 50s had been killed, reports LancsLive.
