However, it has caused a stir online and not just because of that bizarre ending! Scottish people were left unimpressed with the way the Scottish characters came across in the series.
Eve’s character Adele and Tom Bateman’s David are both meant to be Scottish. However, neither of those actors are actually Scottish, and some viewer even slammed Tom’s accent as ‘brutal’.
Fairground Attraction singer Eddi Reader led the backlash against the Netflix series. ‘OK… I watched ‘Behind Her Eyes’… Forget about the mad plot… did anyone else catch the anti-scot Script??,’ she tweeted.
