It's the most fabulous time of the year! Yes, with the UK hopeful for Eurovision  announced, that means the glitziest, most outrageous singing competition on TV.

We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for James Newman and his song My Last Breath in Rotterdam on Saturday 16 May, but meanwhile let's look at how previous entries have fared in the chart.

We first took part in 1957, but didn’t win until 1967, thanks to Sandie Shaw. Puppet On A String was also the first UK Eurovision song to top the Official Singles Chart, spending three weeks at Number 1.
