Eurovision viewers have slammed Switzerland's entry for being "boring" - and have even suggested it'd be perfect for a John Lewis advert. The entry, Boys Don't Cry by Marius Bear, is a melancholic yet uplifting ballad. The performance featured Marius standing alone on stage against a plain black backdrop as animations of tears and a kite played behind him.The song featured lyrics about how men should connect with and express their emotions, and with a understated jazz rhythm akin to a Disney ballad, the song didn’t seem to go down too well with UK viewers.
Many fans took to Twitter to express their dislike of the track, labelling it boring. Some even went as far as to suggest it would be perfect for the John Lewis Christmas advert, which each year features a ballad-style cover of a famous track.
