Emmerdale loses out to Corrie at BAFTAs with fans furious as award is cut from show
ok.co.ukEmmerdale lost out on the BAFTA award to Coronation Street during the glittering ceremony on Sunday 8 May.The ITV soap lost out to its rival, which airs on the same channel, as Corrie was given the Soap and Continuing Drama gong in a ceremony hosted at Southbank's Royal Festival Hall in London.
But, the presentation of the actual award was cut from the final edit of the show and was instead included in a roundup at the end of the programme.
