The actor, known for playing Albert Square's Ian Beale for 36 years, is on a break from the BBC1 soap and said he is currently living "in a field in Devon." He bought the four-wheeled home ahead of a tour of the UK in an upcoming play but decided to move into it early, after the show’s start date was delayed from January to July.
