Eamonn Holmes has joked that Prince Charles "doesn't trust him" after he "broke protocol" to kiss his wife Camilla Parker Bowles. The 62 year old raised eyebrows back in 2018 when he greeted the Duchess of Cornwall by planting a kiss on her cheek during a visit to the This Morning studios with her husband, Charles.

Eamonn, who has expressed fears that his wife Ruth Langsford may become his carer following a challenging few months, has now spoken of his relationship with his "favourite royal". "I have had the opportunity to meet Camilla privately at functions on a number of occasions," the GB News host said.

Speaking to The Belfast Telegraph, Eamonn continued: "She is approachable and incredibly friendly. Not only that, she's a darn good laugh. "As I keep telling her, she is my favourite royal, though I'm not sure what her husband makes of that." Eamonn, who has previously admitted to being an "outrageous flirt", stunned royal fans as he kissed Camilla on the ITV daytime show. The proper way for men to greet a member of the royal family is with "a neck bow (from the head only)", according to Royal.uk.

Eamonn also broke royal protocol as he hugged Camilla years earlier. After they met at the television station's headquarters in west London in 2014, Camilla said: "We always meet in peculiar places." Eamonn quipped: "That's enough of that." Charles then joked: "Where have you been with my wife?"
