Generous parishioners donated almost 2,000 clothing items for people in need – by leaving them in bags tied to railings outside their Dumbarton church.The big-hearted bunch got into the spirit of Christmas early to support those in the community struggling to make ends meet.For the second year running, St Patrick’s Church organised the Care on the Railings venture, which saw items left on the railings beside the church and either picked up on the spot or delivered around the community.A total of 562 parcels were put together crammed with clothing, as well as some bedding and curtains, for people of all ages.Behind it were big-hearted Pauline Thumath and her daughter Molly, who collected the donations at the church.Pauline said: “Molly
