Scots boozers can tap into a £4m pot to help them bounce back from coronavirus. Drinks giant Diageo unveiled the crisis fund today to support pubs and bars with kit to help them reopen safely.The makers of Johnnie Walker will provide more than £80m of help globally as part of its two-year ‘Raising the Bar’ programme from next month.Diageo chief executive Ivan Menezes said: “Pubs and bars sit at the heart of every community.“We have launched ‘Raising the Bar’ as so many outlets have been impacted by this crisis and badly need help to open their doors again.”The firm came up with the plan after a global survey of bar owners identified what they need to reopen after lockdown.Top publican priorities include hygiene measures, digital support and.
