A mum claims her abusive ex-boyfriend escaped justice after a police officer started harassing her. The 37-year-old went to Police Scotland to report her former partner for threatening to kidnap her daughter.

Police Constable David Taylor, 37, was put on the case but started pestering her. He was jailed for 14 months earlier this month after being convicted of hounding her and two other women.Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard he sent indecent messages, naked pictures and videos of himself in the shower.

But the mum-of-one has claimed nothing was ever done about her ex’s domestic abuse because Taylor began bombarding her with vile messages instead of investigating her crime report.She said evidence they need to secure a conviction is on the
