The doctor went on to ask his 4.6million followers if they were "ready to learn about stone babies." According to the social media star, who is known for his health videos, it happens when "a foetus dies during an abdominal ectopic pregnancy." He continued: "This is an incredibly rare type of ectopic pregnancy when the foetus grows outside the uterus.
If the deceased foetus is too large to be reabsorbed by the mother's body, it becomes a foreign body to the mother's immune system." As stated by the NHS, an ectopic pregnancy is "when a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb, usually in one of the fallopian tubes".
