Caroline Blanchard was forced to make an unimaginably heart-wrenching decision by turning off her daughter's life support - only to be forced the same situation less than 10 years later with her husband Paul.

The devastated single mother experienced the worst pain any parent could possibly imagine in the most tragic circumstances. Before the DIY SOS team embarked on an emotional rebuild, the family were subjected to daily visual reminders of the tragic events that took away two key members of their family.

Their harrowing ordeal began with a tragic accident in their garage in 2007, when seven-year-old Natasha sadly lost her life.

Caroline, who lives with her two children Reece and Paige, was unable to enter two rooms in her house because of the painful memories they triggered.
