Manchester United's Diogo Dalot has claimed this season has been 'special' for him individually. United were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this season but they've been reduced to fighting for Europa League qualification instead.
United have grossly underperformed and the club has equalled its worst trophy drought for 40 years The campaign simply cannot quickly enough right now.
United have three games remaining and they're set to do a lap of appreciation at Old Trafford after their clash against Brentford on Monday night — which may well be met by angry supporters. Despite the club struggling this term, Dalot still believes it was a 'special season' for him personally as he received more minutes. "It's difficult to say it's been a good season when the results are not quite there as we expected," Dalot told Sky Sports. "But individually it's been good in terms of playing much more.
