Demolition work in now in full swing at a Coatbridge building which is the next to be knocked down as part of North Lanarkshire’s plans to replace all its high-rise blocks.Bulldozers are taking apart the eight-storey Burnside Court, built in 1965 and located on Kirk Street near the Time Capsule.Its 44 properties had been vacated by late last year after the block of flats was included in the first phase of the council’s two-decade programme to demolish all 48 towers and a number of blocks of flats across the authority area.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
