A final decision on plans for 208 new homes on the site of the former Moor Lane bus station in Bolton is to be made next week.

Moor Lane Bolton Developments, which includes home builders Step Places and Bolton at Home housing association, has finalised plans for a ‘transforamtional’ development.

The plans for 10,600 sq metre Moor Lane site, which is owned by the council, state the homes will be built ‘to last for generations’.

The area, next to Le Mans Crescent, has been largely vacant since 2017 when the new Bolton Interchange opened but has been used in the past 18 months as a Covid-19 testing centre.
