A 12-year-old dog called Dave is still waiting to be adopted, after spending over a year being overlooked in Manchester Dogs Home.

The crossbreed arrived as a stray and has unfortunately had little interest shown in rehoming him, which the rescue attribute to his old age.

But the rescue hopes that prospective owners will realise that ‘there’s life in the old gentleman yet’, as the senior pup still has plenty to offer.

In statement written from Dave’s perspective on Manchester Dogs Home website, he ‘said’: “At 12 years old I’m set in my ways.
