While the statewide ‘stay-at-home’ and social physical distancing measures appear to slightly flatten the curve in California as related to the number of COVID-19 related deaths and positive test results of people infected, Governor Gavin Newsom warned state’s residents to maintain their efforts. “Those should be sobering and cautionary statistics as it relates to the desire we all have to get back to some semblance of normalcy” said Newsom during his daily noon press briefing Friday, adding, “We’re not by any stretch of the imagination in a position to say … that any new lights are yet green.” The Governor’s warning comes as many communities statewide look to open back up some parks and beaches as warmer weather takes hold.
