North Ayrshire Council is cracking down on a fly-tipping hotspot in Kilwinning by hitting alleged dumpers in the pocket.Three fixed penalties have been issued recently after enforcement officers acted on complaints about the eyesore in Longford Avenue.Now the council is calling on landowners to play their part in ridding the area of the problem by keeping private land tidy.A spokesperson said: "We are aware of the issue in Longford Avenue, with multiple volumes of waste being deposited on private land.“Our enforcement team have made contact with the land owners to remind them of their obligations regarding waste management and have also issued three Fixed Penalty Notices to alleged offenders.“We would urge anyone with information to please.
