CORONATION Street's Jack P Shepherd has revealed he’s battling an eating disorder after cruel trolls told him "you need a good feed".

The 33-year-old actor decided to speak out after fans discussed his body shape on social media. Jack, who plays David Platt in the soap, said he is battling a serious eating disorder but did not go into further details.

The hurtful comments included ones that said he was too thin and “could do with a good feed”. Jack hit back on Twitter with: “I have an eating disorder.

Thank you for being nice.” One follower told him: “Well done for speaking out, however you shouldn’t have to explain yourself. “People too quick to judge to fat/thin etc.” Another said: “Good on you for speaking out.
