Coronavirus Scotland: 51 new cases confirmed with Ayrshire number on rise again

Ayrshire.The Scottish Government released information as part of its daily COVID-19 update this afternoon.No new deaths mean Scotland's COVID-19 death toll remains at 2,494.However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 4,222 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, August 23 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.Across Scotland, a total of 21,007 positive tests have been recorded since the end of February from 519,762 tests carried out.The number of positive coronavirus cases recorded in the NHS Ayrshire & Arran stands at 1,314, up four from yesterday.There are fewer than five patients, within the health board's region, in intensive care with confirmed COVID-19.Meanwhile, the number of people in hospital.
