Coronation Street's Andy Whyment responds to comment on soap wage after posing with new £40k car

As viewers of the ITV soap know, the actor is famed for having spent more than 20 years playing Weatherfield's Kirk Sutherland.
But his nearly 25 years on-screen doesn't include his uncredited appearances. Andy actually appeared in the ITV soap in 1990 and 1997 and was just referred to as Mark.
Earlier this year, fans were baffled when they caught an episode of Classic Corrie and were quick to spot Maria had called Kirk a different name in their earlier scenes.
