Coronation Street viewers were left stunned on Wednesday night’s episode, August 24, as a dead cast member made a surprise cameo on the popular ITV soap.

There has been trouble brewing on the cobbles as Yasmeen Nazir finally realised her partner Stu Carpenter may be innocent after all.

Stu had been convicted of killing a young girl years prior, but he's continued to plead his innocence. While not many on the street believed him, Yasmeen and her family did and have been attempting to support Stu - with Alya and Zeedan trying to work out how to clear his name.

However, Yasmeen went on to have an unexpected encounter with her abusive husband Geoff Metcalfe who died in 2020 after falling off a roof.
