Coleen Rooney is set to tell her side of the now infamous Wagatha Christie story in a new three part documentary. Disney+ confirmed the news at the Edinburgh TV Festival and said that they had secured exclusive rights to work with Coleen, 36, on the new series, which has the working title of the court case’s famous moniker ‘Wagatha Christie’.The documentary will follow the dramatic tale of Coleen's falling out and subsequent court trial with Rebekah Vardy, 40, who Coleen accused of leaking stories about her to the press.

Coleen won the highly-publicised libel battle against Rebekah last month, however, both women racked up around £1.5million in legal fees, and a September 21 hearing will determine who will pay what.

Describing the project, the streaming service wrote in an announcement: "The three-part series will take viewers from the circumstances that led to her infamous Instagram post that ‘broke the Internet’ all the way to Coleen being a successful defendant in one of the UK’s highest-profile High Court defamation cases brought against her by Rebekah Vardy. "In a story for our times, Wagatha Christie will reveal how fiercely determined and resilient Coleen had to be in order to protect her family from the challenges presented by the traditional and social media landscapes." It was previously reported that the deal could be set to make Coleen millions - and make her the main breadwinner of the house.

Her husband Wayne Rooney manages soccer team DC United in Washington and he earns a reported £800,000 a year in the role. A source told The Sun of reported deal with Disney+: "This is a massive deal for Coleen — in every sense.
