Channel 4 Gogglebox couple Dave and Shirley confirm their return and date show will air in 2022

Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley Griffiths have revealed they will return for the show's next series. The couple, who are two of Gogglebox's longest-running stars, have announced their comeback to the hit Channel 4 show to review more of the biggest programmes on TV.

Series 18 of the popular show, which documents real people's live reactions whilst watching TV, concluded in December. But now the couple from Caerphilly, Wales, have announced the date that the next series will returning - and fans of the show won't have to wait too long. This comes after fellow cast member Mica Ven, who regularly appears on the sofa alongside partner Marcus Luther, let slip that the series will be back from next week.

Dave and Shirley posted a selfie on social media and confirmed the series 19 air date following questions from fans. The couple, posing in a booth, said: "Chilling out in brown's, away from the rain." One fan asked: "When is the new series starting?" And Dave responded: "February the 18th I think xx." Gogglebox fans were delighted with the announcement as they replied to Dave.
