The Borderlands film adaption will be helmed by director Eli Roth. The film will see Cate Blanchett playing the lead role. As per media reports, the video game which is now being made into a film will have four members of a group on a search of some unique never seen before technology. The four members are called Vault Hunters, according to news reports. On the work front, Cate will also feature in the Hollywood drama called Don’t Look Up.

Despite SXSW and Cannes being cancelled, the 2020 Venice Film Festival will reportedly go ahead. This year’s event is due to kick off in Venice from 2-12 September and, according to trade paper Variety, that event will still happen with Cate Blanchett (above in Thor: Ragnarok) presiding over the jury.
