Smilegate has revealed the full details for the major Lost Ark update coming in May.In a comprehensive blog post, Lost Ark devs reveal the imminent launch of Valtan, the first endgame Legion Raid. The new update will also introduce a new gear rarity to earn, and an advanced class called Destroyer.Valtan is the first Legion Raid set to come to Lost Ark, offering players raid-style challenges that will require teamwork and careful planning.

Amazon Game Studios has confirmed that there is currently an issue in Lost Ark that makes completing the Tytalos Guardian Raid “extremely difficult,” though clarified that it is working with Smilegate to release a fix today (March 14).Yesterday (March 13), Amazon Game Studios shared that it is “aware of an issue within the Tytalos Guardian Raid that makes defeating Tytalos in the time frame allotted extremely difficult for the power level required to participate in the Guardian Raid,” and acknowledged that it is causing “a blocker for progression”.Though the studio says a fix should be released in Lost Ark later today, it warns that “for the time being, we strongly suggest avoiding the Tytalos Guardian Raid so you do not expend valuable time or resources on an encounter that is currently not performing correctly.”There’s a chance that players affected by this issue will be compensated for their time, however. In the forum post, Amazon Game Studios says it is “working to create a possible compensation for the players who were blocked from progressing due to this issue with Tytalos,” though more information on that won’t be revealed just yet.Both Amazon Game Studios and Smilegate are currently working to address various other issues with the popular MMO.

Smilegate has released a new ‘top issues report’ for Lost Ark and admitted that bots continue to be a problem.In a blog post, the Lost Ark team has explained it has banned 1million bots so far, reiterating the news from last week. “We are continuing to regularly roll out additional bans to clear out more bots from the game,” explained the post. The team is “working on internal methods and tools to make it more difficult for bots to enter the game”.

Lost Ark has just dropped and it includes plenty of additions to the MMO, including a kart racing-inspired grand prix race.The game’s March update went live recently (March 10) and it includes plenty of extra content additions and bug fixes, but perhaps the most interesting is the inclusion of a grand prix in the game.Only available for the next month, the Arkesia Grand Prix pits two teams of seven against each other whilst transformed into a creature, with progress measured by “reaching the goal and eating cakes!”To access the race all players need to do is find an NPC called the Arkesia Grand Prix Master in any of the game’s major cities (other than Prideholme), who will give players a quest to start the race. Players also need to be at least level 50 to enter the event.The March update for Lost Ark also includes new skins and new log-in daily bonuses for 25 days, with additional rewards on consecutive days.The Kadan Story Episode has also been added, and will feature a new storyline, new quests, new islands and cinematics as well.“Players will need to have completed Feiton, alongside completing the following quests: ‘Yorn – Let There Be Light’, ‘Whispering Islet – Start of Our Story’, and ‘Illusion Bamboo Island – End of the Trials’ as a prerequisite before embarking on the new end-game quest lines.

Amazon Game Studios has said that server transfers in Lost Ark are “not a viable option at this point,” following many requests for the feature since launch.Yesterday (February 20), Amazon Game Studios posted an update that addressed many of the community’s biggest issues with Lost Ark, and said it is working with developer Smilegate to get them fixed.One of these issues is the topic of server transfers, which fans feel would go a long way toward reducing queue times and re-uniting friends who were seperated by character creation restrictions.However, although Amazon Game Studios said it “thoroughly investigated” the option, the studio reached the conclusion that “this instant functionality does not currently exist in Lost Ark“.Amazon added that although the feature recently arrived in Korea, it’s a weekly batch process that requires downtime to run – “therefore, unfortunately, [server transfers are] not a viable option at this point for the western version.”On the topic of long queue times in Europe, Amazon said that “there is no way to increase the number of players per world in Europe Central,” and “adding more servers is not possible based on the complexity of all the systems that need to work together.”The post does note that it has recently launched a new region in Europe to help alleviate demand.Elsewhere, the update addresses issues with matchmaking, gold seller spam, a fix for missing Crystalline Auras, and improved fraud protection.Following a hugely popular launch, Lost Ark has been the recipient of review bombing over issues with the European servers and problems with Founder’s Pack players not getting to play with their free-to-play friends.Last week, an update to the MMO added a new EU region and fixed a

Lost Ark is currently being review bombed on Steam due to issues with free-to-play players unable to play with those who bought premium copies of the MMO.Though Lost Ark only launched in full last Friday (February 11), anyone who bought a ‘Founder’s Pack’ edition has been able to play the MMO since February 8.However, the unforeseen popularity of this headstart phase meant that many of these early servers were quickly filled up, causing server queues due to over-popularity.To combat this, Lost Ark developer Smilegate implemented a character creation cap on 11 of these servers, meaning that new players cannot make characters on them “for the foreseeable future”.This has caused a rift where many free-to-play fans cannot play with any of their friends who bought premium copies to play the MMO early, as many of the first servers to open have now been closed off to new players.As a result, Lost Ark is the subject of many negative reviews on Steam that have encountered issues with this approach. Some premium players have had to make new characters on other servers to play with their free-to-play friends, while others hope that server transfers will be announced in the future.“Currently cannot recommend,” reads one review, which it says is because of “no server to server transfers and populated servers have 4-6 hour queues in EU servers [which] has only gotten worse.”“Can’t play with my friends because they prevented creating characters on their server.

Smilegate and Amazon Game Studios are working on “an entirely new region of servers in Europe” to accommodate demand for Lost Ark at launch, however many European players are leaving negative reviews on Steam to show their dissatisfaction with the current server state.Yesterday (February 13), Smilegate announced via a blog that it is “working as quickly as possible to set up an entirely new region of servers in Europe.”According to Smilegate, this is a joint expansion between itself and publisher Amazon Game Studios, and it’s “the only way to accommodate more players in Europe.”At the moment, the demand for Lost Ark in Europe is causing players in that region to suffer from lengthy queue times. Many of these players are leaving negative reviews on Steam, with some reviews stating queue times in Europe can be upwards of four hours.“While we understand lengthy queue times may persist, we will need time to ensure everything is set up to be in top shape to help accommodate all players to get in game.

Lost Ark hasn’t fully launched just yet, huge demand from fans trying to pre-load the game is putting a strain on Steam servers.Amazon Game Studios‘ western release of Lost Ark doesn’t come out in full until this Friday (February 11), but demand for the game is already causing issues for eager fans.Yesterday (February 8), the official Lost Ark Twitter account acknowledged that players were having trouble downloading and pre-loading the MMO.“Steam is aware of it and is actively looking into the issue,” clarified the account, before later saying that “we are now seeing improvements in players being able to download and decrypt the game, and have confirmed this with the team at Valve.”A Founder’s Pack version of Lost Ark means that some fans have been able to get into the MMO ahead of its full launch, which has already led to some early demand.Thank you for the reports regarding game downloads timing on Steam. Smilegate’s Korean MMO Lost Ark is releasing in the west next year, and players can now sign up for a closed beta.Lost Ark was initially released in 2018 as a Korea-only title, but Smilegate confirmed it would be getting a Western release earlier this year. Amazon Games Studios is handling the localisation.

Amazon Games has confirmed that the western release of Lost Ark has been pushed back to early 2022, though a newly-announced closed beta means that players will still be able to try the game out this year.A statement on the Lost Ark website has shared that the team has “discovered a lot more work that will be needed to launch Lost Ark at the high-quality bar our players deserve”.

Lost Ark by Amazon Games is coming to PC in North America and Europe this year.The game is currently only available in Korea, Japan, and Russia, it is developed by  Smilegate RPG.Lost Ark is set in the world of Arkesia, and features 15 hero classes and fast-paced combat. It also has an adaptable skill system and the Tripod Skill system.
