Bruce Springsteen pokes fun at his DWI arrest during his one-man show

Bruce Springsteen helped celebrate the reopening of Broadway by staging the first full-capacity show since the pandemic kicked off and decided to poke a little fun at his recent run in with the law.

The singer took to Manhattan’s St James Theatre stage in a one-man show for vaccinated fans and, according to Fox News, told those in attendance that he was ‘handcuffed and thrown in jail’ during his arrest.

The 71-year-old was arrested in New Jersey for driving while intoxicated in November but news of his run in with the law didn’t emerge until after his Super Bowl ad aired in 2021.
