Bellshill Covid latest as West of Scotland League side emerge from pre-season shutdown

following a positive coronavirus test last week. The clash with Newmains was called off after a Rockburn Park player tested positive for Covid-19.

The West of Scotland League issued advice to the clubs this morning ahead of the friendly clash. However, the club have now revealed they had no further positives following testing this week, and will face amateur side Wishaw HFP today.

A club statement read: "After last Saturday's game, which was cancelled due to one of our players testing positive, we have discovered that the player contracted the virus through his work. "Bellshill Athletic made the decision to send everyone involved, who was in contact with the player to be tested, to stop any further spread."We are relieved to say that all.
