Belgian police used water cannon and tear gas during a protest against coronavirus restrictions today. The majority of the thousands of campaigners marched peacefully through Brussels to protest against the tighter rules, which were brought in by the government on Friday.
Some shouted 'Freedom! Freedom!' while others carried banners that said 'United for our freedom, rights and our children'. Some also carried signs critical of vaccines and against making vaccination mandatory as they marched to the European Union headquarters.
