Scots prisoners' festive dinners to include Rum sauce and Twix bars as jails share menus

Prisoners are set to enjoy a full Christmas dinner and take part in games behind bars, jail bosses have revealed. Festive menus include full fried breakfasts, turkey and all the trimmings, steak pie, burgers and omelettes as well as options for vegetarian and Halal diners.

Inmates at some prisons will also be able to take part in a wide range of games and activities as the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) lays on special treats.
