Strictly Come Dancing was back on our screens for the first live show of the series on Saturday evening, during which 15 hopeful celebs took to the floor with their professional partners.Performing classic dances such as the Tango, Cha Cha Cha and Paso Doble, the couples put on a stellar display of everything they'd spent the week learning in the rehearsal rooms. And whilst nobody is leaving the competition this weekend, the eliminations begin next week - with one couple 'predicted' to be the first to say their goodbyes. The Mirror reports that the judges' decisions saw Nigel Harman and partner Katya Jones top the leaderboard with a score of 32 points after they danced the intense Paso Doble to Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana.

Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams, Bobby Brazier and Ellie Leach all scored 29 point for their performances, with Angela Rippon and Annabel Croft coming in third at 28 points.

Elsewhere on the leaderboard was Krishnan Guru-Murthy with 21 points, and Zara McDermott with 19 points. Les Dennis found himself at the bottom of the scoreboard with 19 points - but despite this week's scores being carried into next, he isn't who the public think will be the first to leave.

Fans took to social media to share their predictions for the first elimination next week, with BBC Asian Network presenter Nikita Kanda being a common guess.
