Barcelona president Joan Laporta has once again reiterated that the club might be forced to sell one of its key players this summer amid Manchester United's interest in Frenkie de Jong.
The Spanish club is under increasing financial pressure and could be left with no choice but to offload some of their most sellable assets this summer.
De Jong is considered one of their star attractions, but is less integral to the Blaugrana than he was due to the emergence of La Masia graduates Pedri and Gavi, and speculation concerning his future at the Camp Nou is continuing to mount.
United are big admirers of De Jong and have been tracking him for more than a month. They have not yet submitted a formal offer for him but there is a growing feeling that a deal could come to fruition.
