Oldham B&Q store today (Sunday) as shoppers reported huge queues. Videos from a customer showed lines appearing to stretch the length of the shop on Westhulme Way.In the clips, people can be seen waiting as far as the eye can see, clutching items such as tools and wood.Others are waiting with purchases stacked in trollies in a line that stretched past a number of aisles.

One shopper told the Manchester Evening News there were hundreds of people waiting in the queue inside the store, which he said was 'hammered'.

Hardware stores such as the popular chain are classified as essential shops and are allowed to remain open during the current national lockdown restrictions, which came into force on November 5 and expire on Wednesday, December 2.A.
