Drake has broken his silence on the Astroworld festival tragedy saying his “heart is broken” for the victims and their families.
The superstar rapper performed alongside festival organiser Travis Scott when the crowd rushed to the stage in Houston, Texas, on Friday night, causing a crush that killed at least eight fans and injuries to hundreds of others.
The two men are being sued by injured festival goers after it was alleged they “incited mayhem”. In a statement shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Drake, 35, said: “I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. “I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself.
