Angelique Jackson Longtime UNICEF ambassadors Orlando Bloom, Sofia Carson and Lucy Liu have signed on as executive producers for the documentary “If You Have,” which chronicles the 75-year history of UNICEF.Directed by Academy Award winner Ben Proudfoot, who won the 2022 documentary short prize for “The Queen of Basketball,” the film spotlights UNICEF’s life-saving work for children and families around the world, as told through the eyes of those who were there.“I could not be more thrilled to be working with Orlando Bloom, Sofia Carson, Lucy Liu and their teams to bring the world’s attention to the cause of children and the remarkable work of UNICEF over the years and of course today as it undertakes the largest vaccine supply operation of all time,” Proudfoot told Variety in a statement announcing the partnership. “After such a dark chapter in human history, having these three archangel executive producers lifting up ‘If You Have’ will bring this much needed story of optimism and inspiration to millions of homes around the world.” Founded in the aftermath of World War II, UNICEF has worked in over 190 countries to provide health care and immunizations, safe water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more to the world’s most vulnerable children and families.Bloom became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2009 and has traveled extensively with the organization, most recently to Moldova, in March of this year, where he met with children and their families who were fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Brent Lang Executive Editor of Film and MediaNia DaCosta will direct the feature film adaptation of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ best-selling novel “The Water Dancer.” The film is being backed by Metro Goldwyn Mayer and will be produced by Maceo-Lyn, Brad Pitt’s Plan B and Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Films.DaCosta directed last year’s horror hit “Candyman” and is also stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with her next feature, the upcoming “The Marvels.” Her first film, “Little Woods,” starred Tessa Thompson and Lily James and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2018 before getting released theatrically by Neon.“The Water Dancer” is a surrealist story that unfolds in the pre–Civil War South. It follows Hiram Walker, born into slavery, who lost his mother as a child and over time loses all memory of her.

At this point, we’ve all probably seen enough TV shows and movies to convince us that marriage isn’t for everyone. That’s made especially clear in historical works, which often serve to remind viewers that, not that many years ago, marriage was an obligation and occasionally a nightmare.

Horizon will put the Yellowstone star back behind the camera for the first time since 2003’s critically acclaimed Open Range. Ric Galindez and Roy Tjio are producers on the movie, with Dustin Rikert directing the script by Tracy Andreen and Kevin Taft.Last year, Hallmark Channel premieres six original movies in May and June, including four for its annual “Summer Nights” lineup.

Anyone who claimed Cage didn’t care about his career during this era was dead wrong.“People thought I didn’t care.

“The Batman,” now streaming on HBO Max and available for purchase on various digital platforms, is full of breathlessly rendered set pieces that rank amongst the best in modern superhero cinema – Batman’s Halloween-night prowling; the finale in the stadium; Batman’s visit to Falcone’s club. But there’s one scene that stands out above all the others – the very rainy nighttime car chase. (“The Batman” is so overwhelmingly rainy it makes “Seven” look like “Lawrence of Arabia.”)  In the sequence, Bruce Wayne/Batman (Robert Pattinson) is going after the Penguin (an unrecognizable Colin Farrell) in his souped up Batmobile, which is perhaps the most hot-rod-y version of the iconic car ever captured on film.

The teaser begins with him as a member of the group, with Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Vin Diesel set to reprise their roles.
